Taking friendship to new heights.

On Oct. 1, Maren Morris performed at The Event charity gala, hosted by his Shaquille O’Neal Foundation, at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. There, the country star met Shaquille O’Neal himself and posted a photo of the two together, poking fun at their extreme height difference.

“Tall Guys,” she captioned the Instagram pic, which has since gone viral, referencing her single of the same name.

Standing a petite 5’1″, Maren is almost two feet shorter than Shaq, one of the tallest NBA stars of all time. The retired, fan-favorite basketball legend is 6’11”, as he clarified on TNT’s Inside the NBA in 2020.

In addition to Maren, other performers at The Event included Maroon 5, Pitbull, H.E.R. and comedian John Mulaney. More than $3.2 million was raised at the gala, which was sponsored by the Pepsi Stronger Together initiative. Proceeds benefit The Boys and Girls Club and Communities In Schools in Las Vegas and Atlanta, two of Shaq’s hometowns.

“It’s a huge honor and an amazing lineup to be a part of,” Maren told E! News. “And I’m very happy I was asked.”

Michelle Yeoh Weighs In On The Witcher’s Henry Cavill Recasting

Michelle Yeoh isn’t exactly hunting for a new Geralt.

Yeoh, who stars as the honorable sword-elf Scian in Netflix’s The Witcher: Blood Origin, is weighing in on The Witcher‘s controversial decision to recast Geralt from Henry Cavill to Liam Hemsworth

“I think Henry did such an amazing job,” Yeoh exclusively told E! News. “Let’s see what Liam has to bring, right? That’s how it is.”

Cavill himself first announced the decision, writing on Instagram Oct. 29, “My journey as Geralt of Rivia has been filled with both monsters and adventures, and alas, I will be laying down my medallion and my swords for Season 4.”

The Justice League alum went on to confirm that Hemsworth would be taking up the mantle for The Witcher‘s next chapter. The news came just days after Cavill revealed that he would be returning to the DC universe as Superman.

Fans weren’t exactly pleased by this decision, flooding Cavill’s comment sections with words of shock and admiration.

“I’m really not happy about this,” one viewer wrote. “Why Liam Hemsworth? Sorry to say, but he’s not a good fit for this [role].” Meanwhile, another added that Cavill was “literally made for that character.”

Nick Cannon Welcomes Baby No. 11

Nick Cannon is sharing an update from his hospital bed.

The Masked Singer host explained that he’s getting medical care after coming down with pneumonia.

“Okay, so I guess I’m not Superman,” he wrote on Instagram Dec. 2. “I promised myself I would never be back at this place again… But this is a great lesson to take care of YOU or YOU won’t be able to take care of everyone else.”

Nick let fans know there’s no need to send “well wishes or prayers,” as “it’s just pneumonia, nothing I can’t handle.”

“Don’t trip,” the 42-year-old said, noting he only needs “some solid rest and I will be back on the journey to becoming stronger than ever.”

Nick went on to share that he became sick just a day after performing in New York for Nick Cannon Presents: Wild ‘N Out Live.

“Crazy thing is, last night we was just rocking a sold out crowd at Madison square garden in front of thousands of fans, now I’m all alone in a tiny hospital room,” he wrote in his post. “Life is definitely a rollercoaster!”
